I wanna thank everyone who responded to my discussion about my 10 month old son and getting him to sleep in his bed. I used a combo of the responses and figured out what works for me and my son and I'm happy to report this is day 3 and things are going alot smoother then I imagined they would be. I put him in his bed and tried the crying out but it was just horrible.. I peeked in at him and he looked so terrified I couldn't deal with it so what I did was I put him in his bed told him it was time to go to sleep all the while he cryed but I was real calm, I turned on his lights and sound crib toy and rubbed his belly and softly sang to him while he drank his bottle and I'd say within 15 minutes he was out, it was much easier then I thought it was going to be, now it's only day 3 but he seems to be taking to it just fine. Thanks all my fellow mylotters for all your feedback..I've slept so good the couple nights!!!

While I did not see nor respond to the original discussion,I would like to thank you for your response to those who mdid respond.I think you took a great move in taking what you felt would work in your case and filtering out the rest. But just as important, you took the time to thank everyone who made a suggestion.Often people wonder "what ever happened to....." but you putting in an update was very kind.
So.....thank you for thanking people.

I am hoping more read your thank-you note and also send out thanks once in a while.Besides increasing their revenue, they are encouraged that someone benefited from their experience or suggestion and will be more willing to share on MyLot.After all, isn't that one of the things MyLot is for??

I did not read your previous discussion, but I would like to say congrats! Thats awaome. My 4 year old daughter still has a hard time going to bed she likes to have her back rubbed. So I'll rub it for maybe 2 minutes. (to make her drowsy) then I say I have to go potty and so some dishes and I'll be right back in. So in the mean time I'm doing my own thing and never go back in because she's passed out. lol. I hope your son keeps doing great sleeping in his own bed. It will be so much less problems for you later in time.

Great! I'm glad you found something that worked for you and your little guy. Isn't it nice to get a good nights rest after a few terrible ones? Sometimes I think there is nothing better in the world. Good luck with keeping him in his bed and you continuing to get some good night time sleep in.
