anyone own a shihtzu

she is cute. I was wondering if you had problems potty trainer her when she was a pup. I am having problems with Peanut(my daughter named him this) with and biting is a big problem too. Hope to heard back from you.

When i got her I'd feed her as soon as she ate or drank and as soon as she woke up. She slept in the kennel until she outgrew it. I found that she wont go anywhere near where she sleeps. She wasnt much of a problem with the potty training..I kennel trained her when I was off work for a few weeks. And anytime she came out of the kennel she was let outside straight out of the kennel. At the time if i didnt stick her outside soon enough she'd head straight to my bathroom and pee in front of the toilet (which she still does on occasion if shes been in too long because she snuck inside as i was leaving for work) I actally appreciate the fact that she goes in there because its easy to clean and I dont accidently step in piddle infront of a door or somewhere un expected. My aunt has her sibling and she had pooping in the house issues with Mdog. She'd hold it til she got back in the house and go poop in poppa sheldon's shoes. I think they broke her of the pooping by putting his shoes in a closet and leaving her outside longer. She was a very nippy pup which i solved at the time by flicking her nose every time she nipped at me...Now shes just an extremely licky dog. I read somewhere that the two breeds are very licky so its not abnormal.

Yes peanut will lick and then bite me. I will try that flicking thing and see if that works. thanks
