Weird habits in the garden!

I have no idea how weird the neighbours think I am - guess nor do I care lol. I have just vacuumed my garden (and the neighbours are probably calling the men in white coats as I type lol). Let me explain ........... we have a deck under which there are some small flower beds, during the winter we feed the birds profuse amounts of seeds on the deck. Consequently a large number of seeds end up in the flower beds. I have discovered that the easiest way to clean these out is to wait for dry weather, loosen them and then vacuum them off - no odd weird flowers growing then for the rest of the summer. It may look crazy but it WORKS - if you don't believe me see the picture. So come on admit to your crazy (but effective ..... or not) deeds in the garden and reassure me I am not the only lunatic here.
