If you could go back in time, what in yor life would you correct?

Very difficult choice for me as I came from a screwed up family. terribly screwed up. I would have to say back when I was a child of 11 or so. I got beat terribly by dad for any slight mess up in my life. He used twitches from the willow tree, wet towels causing welts on my body, and even a leather razor strap causing me to be hospitalized nearly losing my arm. I would change the way I reacted by running away from home and be less of a trouble to my father. No matter what I did dad said I was a natural born screw up. Oh weel, I ran away from home at 13 and have been on my own basically all that time up till now. Now I am taking care of dad. No I don't beat him. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

If I could go back in time I would go back to the time I was 15 years or 16 years old and I would not have quit school. I would have continued on with my education and I would have become something professional, like a nurse or doctor or teacher. Something that I wouldn't have to work so physically hard as I am not 51 years old and I clean houses for a living. But that is probably the only thing I would change. I would still have had my kids, like you, since they are the biggest joy in my life.

I would go back to my teenage years and take the offer of changing schools, and living in a different district, not ghetto and letting my grandmother live with the man she wanted to live with. He would have given us both everything but I was too scared to do it.

I would have my name changed before I entered my first school grade. I have always gotten troubles because my parents only gave me single name without surname. And after I grew up, graduated, there have been a lot of troubles because of the bureaucracy related to my single name versus “a must fill” surname entry at the forms. I could have changed my name later or these days, but I have registered at many parts / fields, and I just feel sick that I would have to go to the process of requesting the name change in all my registrar details, and not to mention that the bureaucracy in my country just sucks.

i would love to change my life the way my mom treated me and also i wouldn't accept my ex as my first bf. that's my biggest regret until now
