Do these People really love their dog?

I have these neighbors that just moved into the apartments a month or two ago. When they first came they celebrated with loud bass, Tejana music, for about 3 days. Now is the fun part.
They just moved into an apartment and got a dog. Would a dog be the first thing you'd think about adding to your apartment?
Not only do they have a dog, they let it out on the back patio to pee (they do live upstairs) and considering I live below them, my table, flipflops, chair have all been covered in urine. In order to do my laundry, I have to get to the closet on my patio.
Now honestly, do these people need to be told how to act?
Do they even deserve a dog, they don't play with it, it whines in their bathroom, or on their patio...

I think a dog in an apartment is okay as long as it gets nice long walks and is taken out to go to the bathroom a few times a day.
But it defeniatly doesn't sound to me like your neighbors are doing any of the above! If their dog is peeing on your stuff then I defeniatly think you should go confront them about that. And if it doesn't change you can talk to the landlord about it.
If you suspect the dog is being abused or neglecting I would defeniatly get the authorities in on it. Contact a local shelter and see if the animal can be taken away from your neighbors. A dog defeniatly should not have to live in those kinds of conditions. If you don't help it, it'll probably lead a very miserable life.

Do you work during the day? Do your neighbors? Maybe, of course if you wanted, you could offer to take the dog for walks. He might appreciate it, and it can just be a little way for you to help him. But of course, udnerstandable if that isn't possible! It's good that you care about him at all.

My only problem is San Antonio has a huge animal problem. There are already tons of them in shelters, and not all of these shelters preserve the life of the animals. San Antonio is trying to find homes for animals, problem is the type of people in this city that think they should have animals, shouldn't....
Although if it continues, SPCA is on my list...
That's exactly how I feel, I'm the only person (my boyfriend looks at it different) that really knows what that dog goes through every day (well as best I can, I'm not UP there) but I do know when an animal is unhappy and considering it's not being played with or getting it's walks, mistreated. I've talked to the office, it's getting a little better....we'll see...

I am at home during the day, and I've thought of it. But my neighbors wouldn't appreciate it, they would think I'm being a witch. I think it's this area. But I do care. It hasn't been whining as much, and I've had less problems... It sounds like they are treating it better...maybe..

A dog needs regular exercise at least twice a day. It needs a good walk, not letting out onto the patio to pee. I think I might complain to either my landlord or the local environmental health people about what's happening if I were you. The dog isn't being treated properly and you're suffering as a result of it!
Brightest Blessings.

Complained constantly for about a week now, still here it whine...it dictates when we sleep....
I have a problem cooping my kitten up in here, I can't wait until we get a house so she can roam and hunt. That's what she seems to enjoy, stalking and striking, lol...but she's an animal, she's supposed to be outside....
Her name is Spaz because she has this crazy energy....she'll be better when we're in a place I'll know she'll be okay outside alone...
And this is my cat I'm worried about

i am surprised that they were even allowed to have a pet in an apartment as here we are notnotany kind of pet even a bird I agree a upstairs apt is no place for a dog. If they were downstairs with a patio then perhaps but dogs really belong to people who have houses not apartments. too litle room

I think that is the cruelest thing a person can do. Why in the world would someone get a dog in an apartment. Dogs are not ment for apartments. Cats on the hand is ok. Most cats are indoor cats anyway with a few exceptions. I hate people who think having a dog and cooping them up in a apartment is a good thing. I would like to put these people in a small space and see how they like it. And for letting the dog to pee on the patio. I can just imagine the smell. Another thing why does it take 3 days to celebrate a move in. Why not have one big shawag and leave it at that. Let alone being in a new apartment. I am quite surprised at this. I think these people need a good talking to.

Well when they had their "fiesta" I honestly think they just moved from Mexico or something, they got a lease violation for the noise (the manager was going to talk to them because of a complaint and she heard all the noise)...
They ripped it up and threw it on my patio, I returned it to the office...

Oh wow. I feel sorry for you living under them. If the manager heard this all going on. Why wasn't something said on the first night and not letting it go for 3 days?

Is it a joint patio? if so then I guess you cant stop it maybe move your flip flops but ask them to hose down the patio and anything on it out of consideration. I didnt think it was allowed to have animals especially dogs in an apartment but if they are allowed nothing you can do although if you think its being mistreated you can contact someone to get them to check up that the animal is ok.
A dog wouldnt be the first thing I was adding to a new place no thats for sure moving house is stressfull enough!

i would report them, because if the dog is peeing on the patio, and it leaks to your place...it means that they are not taking the dog for walks or anything.
it is probably in a kennel in the apartment, when it isn't on the patio -
no way for an animal to live!

They live above me, our own individual patios, making theirs right above mine. They have 4 people living in a 1 bedroom apartment (people have done this repeatedly, we just had our last neighbors that moved out, had 4 adults and like 5 kids living up there)
I'm on the verge of calling the SPCA

Pitgull, That is horrible!! I love dogs but I live in a place where they are not allowed. I have lived in apts. that they are allowed but opted not to have one simply because it is not a good setup and I don't have the time to be fair to it. If I were you, I'd talk to my landlord and I'd also be talking to them.

i don't think by the way that you are describing it that they really need a dog or need to be anyones neighbors because hoentsly if all that would have happened to me i would have gotten in touch with someone about making them move or something liek that because no one should be like that...and as far as the dogs it doesn't sound like the people really need them if they can't take care of them

Where I live in San Antonio, just shows what the problem is. Aparently this complex has the same issue with 5 other residents who live upstairs. I've done what I can do, next time there's an issue, the Cops is the only next resort. I know if you get the cops called on you once here, you're supposed to be evicted.....

If they are going to take on the responsibility of taking care of a dog, they should at least take the time to take it on daily walks instead of letting it ruin everyone's furniture.
I think you should go upstairs and talk to them about the urine on your things and about talking the dog for walks at least twice a day. If they don't do anything about it, then your should complain to your landlord, because he/she may not even know your neighbors have a dog and it sounds like they aren't good apartment neighbors anyways.

Have talked to them, still continued to happen. Disrespectful. I know I'm not perfect, but we're not loud, my boyfriend is 41 years old, he works and comes home, not bad neighbors, but we get the worst of them.
Can't wait til we move into a house next month!!!!!!!!
