gR8 DISCUSSION U STARTED THERE.What I feel, the coach to be able to establish a dialogue .there should be empathy developed.he should be able to listen without evaluation. Most important,he should be able to follow the principle: ETHOS,PATHOS & LOGOS.Means first understand the culture, then thoughts and then only speak. This is very well explained by Mr.Stephen Covey in his 5th habit: Seek first to understand and then to be understood.

I think that a great life coach would be a person that genuinely cares about other people, and wants to do his best to make sure that they do succeed in life.He would be a good listener and would not judge others, but would encourage them to always do their very best.He would also be suscessful himself. He would be honest, not jealous. And would always be there for you when you need him.

I think a life coach would have to be objective.
Someone that can see when you might hit the wall and what it takes to besuccessful.
Being genuine helps as well.
A caretaker for sure.
A business person is a must!
