Needs help on Building a Video Signal Buffer/ Amp

I dont have a tech know-how here. Im a ConSci Grad. I just wanted to know where I can get stuff, or how I can build a Vidoe Signal Buffer/Amp. Im using a composite signal if im right an RCA connector. I tried to use a conventional T/Y Splitter, but as you increase the Splitter the signal also drops. Maybe someone here could help me. (Take note Im not using a RF signal)
