Well I've heard that rinsing your hair first prevents chlorine absorption. The ultimate protection is combing conditioner through your hair and topping swim cap..
Do you think this is true? GIVE ME UR HONEST OPINION PEOPLE? I"M CURIOUS....

At the time I was bleaching my hair my hairstylist told me to always get my hair wet before getting into the pool to help stop chlorine damage. The way she explained it to me was a sponge that is already filled with water will not absorb anymore. It made sense to me!

In order to protect your hair from breakage, fading or color changing if you color your hair you should wet your hair down completely before you get chlorine or other chemically treated water in your hair. It works really well.
After you get out of the pool you might want to put a bit of hair conditioner on it but don't get back into the pool with that on as it will pollute the water. That is not fair to the pool company/owner etc.
I heard this advice from a hairdresser who was advising a young girl whose long hair was breaking off because she was in a chlorine pool daily.
This really works, do not let your hair dry at all before you get in the pool, regular tap water is fine.
