For as many years as any of us can remember and even further back than that, food has played a large part in our comfort. We use food to celebrate a birth, holidays, to mourn a loved one or any number of life changing events.
My comfort foods are cornbread and milk, dark chocolate and ginger tea. What foods do you find comfort in?

i come from a big family and we are hispanic so when we get together for any kind of gathering it's always the red rice with peas and penil ( pork shoulder) and some kind of salad and a spanish flan(custard) and believe or not as heavy as that my sound i do find some comfort in my family's dishes...

I'd have to say cream of wheat with cinnamon is one of my favorite comfort foods. Some people really don't like it though. Another is just plain baked potato with all the skin, I really like the flavor and texture of an oven baked potato skin especially when it gets a little browned right under the skin and kind of crunchyish.
