So Silly!

Some say I'm hillybilly...but this is just me. This is what I like. I'm so stinkin excited about this weekend. My husband and I scored some tickets to our local speedway to watch drag racing. We have pit passes and the whole nine yards. I'm not necessarily a tom boy but I love to go to these kind of things. I have so much fun with my husband...and since we have the pit passes I can't wait to see the expression on his face when we get there! We are gonna go down before the races and look at the cars and get autographs and the whole nine yards. Like I said, some call me hill billy...but that's just fine with me. I get so excited over silly stuff sometimes, but I'm fine with that.
Like when my husband and I celebrated our first Valentines Day together (when we were still just dating). It wasn't a romantic, sappy kind of thing. (I do like that kind of stuff too tho). But you will never guess what we did! We went to a big time car show here in town...but that wasn't the part that got me so excited tho. After the car show, there were some guys that would ride their motorcycles and jump ramps and do tricks in the air, like back flips and stuff. It was so Awesome!!! But still even better than that was after they were done, they brought in the monster trucks!! That was so much fun! If you've never been to monster truck races, you should go! I know it sounds hill billy, but don't knock it til you try it ;-P
That's right, our first Valentines Day was spent at the Monster Truck Races! And I was totally cool with it. So, as you can imagine, I'm totally stoked about going to the races this weekend!
I know it may sound silly to some of you that are from the big city, but silly stuff is a lot of fun to me. I'm not embarrassed about it!
What I would like to know is what do you like to do that may seem really silly to others? Are you kinda embarrassed to talk about it or are you like me, and open to talk about it cause it is what you like and who you are?
I would love to hear about the 'silly' things you do for fun in your spare time!

Me and my honey used to go to a state preservation park where
they have all these antique houses (the real ones they used in the
early 1900's) and a lake. And we would walk around through the houses and we
would talk about how people must have lived back then. I can still
remember it so vividly even though it was years ago.
It was a phenomenal experience. We went every week, sometimes.
And, it was so much fun. I can't explain it. Just being near
him anywhere on the planet is fun for me.
Then we would walk out onto a little pier over the lake and watch
the sun cascade off the water and listen to the gentle gurgling
sound as the water hit the lake shore. The images are still so sharp
in my mind.
It was so romantic. Not really silly or anything, but super romantic.
I don't think many people would have enjoyed it. But we did, cause
we were there together.
Since the baby was born, four years ago, we haven't done
many things like that together. Now it's all about her.
But we still hang out and watch movies together. And we have a lovely
beach to visit every week. So, that's lots of fun.
Thanks for sharing your story and words. I love hearing about other
people's lives. Be well.
Have a blessed day.

P.S. I'm from the south, so we're all kind
of Hillbilly here. So it's no big deal.
Don't tell the others I said that.
They are still in denial! LOL!
