Part of the lasting power of The Simpsons is that as a cartoon, the characters never age. Shows with real actors, especially young ones, have to constantly adapt to the growing characters and eventually the show tends to decline as the original premise that attracted audiences becomes lost. A lot of shows centered around kids or teens last at the most four or five years, many with unsuccessful attempts at "college years" versions of teen shows (for example Saved By the Bell). But thankfully, we get to enjoy The Simpsons year after year.

Yeah Bart and Lisa don't seem to be getting any older either...lol I kind of like it that way. I think Maggie is soooo adorable! My friend said to me once when we were watching the Simpsons, "Why are you always so worried about where the baby is?" Haha I guess she's my favorite character!

I dont even know.All of them seem like have been the same age same age.LoL

if it were real life,she'd have to be close to 20 now LOL
i'm beginning to think they'll never let her really speak.well,she did say momma or daddy once.

lol thinking about it your right she and none of the others are getting any older. they have all stayed the same age. It would be cool if they made them grow older.
