I missed the beginning What happened?

After waiting months for Grey's to come back on, I missed the beginning because I took my kids out for ice cream and lost track of time. So what happened at the beginning, like the first 20 minutes? did I miss anything good? What was the deal with the contest. How did that start? And why did Lexi fix george up that little apartment. what's up with that.

Well the contest was already in motion when the show started, so they didn't really explain how it came about. In the first 20 min, you missed yang catching a guy's intestines in her hands. lol. As for George and Lexi, they showed that in the recap from where it left off. Izzy heard through the grapevine that her and george broke up, so she took back the key and made him move out of the house. and lexi wanted to get away from her dad being a drunk so one of them suggested getting an apartment together. at the beginning of the show they showed them in the apartment and george going nuts trying to kill roaches. he was complaining he hated the place. so lexi stole a bunch of stuff from the hospital and fixed it up to make it more homey.
