Well anything that you over do on can be bad for you but steak now and then isn't a health problem. I love steak and when they are cooked right they are a real treat. I like mine medium rare and with some fat on it. Not a ton of fat of course but a little bit. It's the fat that really gives it the flavor.
There are a few restaurants around here that serve great steak but I can't afford to go to them that often. Maybe once a year or something like that but it's a bit pricey for me. We get to buy steak to cook at home now and then from Sam's Club. We buy a huge slab and have them cut it up for us. We get great steaks that way at a reasonable price.

I bet you remember Ponderosa, the restaurant that offered steak supper with potatoes and veggies. Now it is called Unos I think. At home, though, I really enjoy cooking my own steak/beef supper with potatoes and veggies.

Yes I do remember Ponderosa. I happened to really enjoy them. I also liked Golden Coral until they changed. The buffet style isn't bad but it had a lot better food back when it was a steak place like Ponderosa.

I love steak done medium rare w/ lots of gravy and mash potatoes. Steak will always be good for me in my book.

I enjoy having steak cooked rare. I like to add lots of baked potatoes. I would add lots of gravy and onions to my steak. I will season my steak/beef with garlic, pepper, and sea salt.

Well, I used to go to Ponderosa couple times already. I think it is now Unos. It had lots of meat and potatoes as well as veggies. At home, though, I love to cook my own meals, including roast beef/steak plus baked potatoes, soft rolls, and veggies.
