You know, I had to look that word up! Happily, I seldom got cramps, but I knew gals that went to bed with a heating pad and pain killers.

Well i too get cramps but they are limited and limited to my legs and hands only. Whenever i get cramps i use to have a massage and this helps me a lot to get rid of cramps. But sometimes i use painkillers if they are somewhat serious.

No, I dont. Maybe you can put in some hot compress on the affected area. Have you seen your doctor about that. If not, please him. He knows best. Just think theres no pain. It helps.

To be frank,i seldom get cramps.I don't know why.If i have got cramps,it must be the first day fo catamenia.and after some hours,it will be ok.To ease the pain,i will drink medicine which is special for catamenia.the same with you, i will lie on bed.It is the best way to ease the pain.most of my friends will lie in the bed when they have the pain by catamenia. I think it is not good to drink so much medicine. When your catamenia comes, you can try to drink brown sugar water or soup with ginger and you can also take some jujubes in.Chinese date is so good for women and girl.It can accommodate your health. If when your catamenia comes, eating more Chinese date can help you make your skin sooth. Somebody have said that it is not bad that have pain by catamenia,it is the normal reaction. Take care of you, when it comes,it is very important for women.

Sorry sophialin but I have no idea what catamenia is! I have honestly never heard of it but I guess from reading responses here it has something to do with your period or menstrual cycle.... I hardly ever have cramps now but when I was a teenager I did and I would take Midol (Specifically for menstrual cramps) and found that worked great...I would also have a nice warm bath and that helped also! Take Care! ~Heavens~

I started walking as much as I could back in grade school! It eased my cramps and if you keep doing it, at least five miles a week, then you will not have any cramps at all! You may also check out which foods you are eating.

Hi Sophialin, yes I get menstrual cramps too. I have to take pain killers although I don't like to do it but that is the only way I can actually move. A hot water bottle is good, lie down and put it on your tummy, it does ease some of the pain away. There are some homeopathic medicines that you can take that help too. I must admit that I just 'grin and bear it'. Usually it is really bad every other month and there is one day where I can barely walk the rest of the time I just get on with life. I find the boys aren't interested in hearing about it, so I don't say much. My demeanour gives it away and he knows to keep away from me during this time! Thanks for sharing this with us.
