Presidential Race

In your opinion, when was the last time that the U.S. had such a poor field of candidates in the presidential race? Not only the primary. The way things have panned out this far ahead of the party conventions, we're stuck with a field of candidates that could be replaced by the inmates at your local correctional institution. How about it ... when was the last time we had worse than 'Break a Savings and Loan McCain,' 'Obama yo Momma,' and 'The Wicked Witch that's not really from New York?'

I totally disagree with you on this. I beieve that each canididate has there own opinions about different issues that are relevant to the usa. I mean there are (3) and not all of them are going to agree on everything the same. And most of the time they are not going to say things that we as the people like. Unlike you i am happy with the way this race is going and slowly but gradually turning out. All 3 of them have put out great issues.

punkin ... I really appreciate your response but, I think you missed the meat of my question. Maybe it's our age difference. I've been watching presidential races since Dwight Eisenhower defeated Adlai Stevenson and not even in the Richard Nixon vs Hubert Humphrey contest have we had such a shaky field of candidates. You need to do some research before you run out in November and cast a ballot. Just about the time you were in diapers, John McCain was putting the finishing touches on helping bankrupt half the savings and loan companies in trhe Southwest and he was still hated by half the VietNam veterans because of his actions while a prisoner of the North Vietnamese. At about the same time, Hillary Clinton was getting a good start on her crooked land deals preceding 'White Water' and forming the opinion in Arkansas that she was the worst first lady to ever live in Arkansas' governors' mansion. She had a really vile personaity even in those days. And no ... she's not from Arkansas any more than she is from New York. And finally, while you were still in diapers, Obama was still tangled up in a multi-layered fuzz that there is still a frenzy to un-ravel. Of course the three wise Senators are have highly paid staffs painting a glowing picture of each of them for us and trying to make people like me forget they have a past and trying to convince people like you that theirs pasts started in 2001. Please take some time and do some reading before November.

In my opinion it is nothing but a popularity contest, Obama is over publicized by Oprah and tonight shows just way to much media, and all the females are voting for Hilary to prove a point that women can run for president. I totally disagree with a female running to be the president I believe it's a mans job, call me old fashioned but I feel more secure and safe knowing that a man is in control, there is know way i would feel that way if a woman was in charge I would feel very unsafe if hilary were to win.
