Here are some tips and medicines offered my our very own Mother Nature:
- for a shinny hair: Blondes should use a bit of fresh lime juice in the water when rinsing. For dark hair and red-hair apple vinegar should do it.
-for an intense color maintenance: for blonde hair use camomile, red-hair- carrot (if it's a light shade) and beet if it's a darker shade of red and for dark hair use rosemary.
I used to use hicory leafs because my hair is a dark shade of brown. You have to boill the right ingredients for your hair and use the water for rinsing. It helps out your hair texture alot.
When i used to live with my grandmother she had another solution: Soap ashes . Hey that gives you alot of volume to your hair thou it burns a little on your skin if you have any wounds !!!
But what won't we do for a great hair?!?
Do you know any other methods?

This seems really great. I would like to try this but it sounds rather time consuming. Where would you get these ingredients? Do they sell shampoos with these ingredients?

Thats great ~ i love natural remedies. I'd much rather use organic or herbal ingredients on my hair or skin than nasty chemicals.
I have very dark hair, but i like the idea of mixing something for dark hair, such as rosemary or burdock, with the beetroot, for a slight warm red sheen.
I dont know if it would work, but i might give it a try.
By the way, what is Soap Ash? I've never heard of it. xxxx
