I am a Stay at Home Mom and I do consider it work. I know that many people see SAHM's differently but I am so proud of what I do. I bring in a paycheck but I get the benifit of being there for my kids all the time. I get to be in my kids class at school when ever I am needed so I am close to his teacher and his friends. I enjoy my life even though it seems like the work is never done. My todo list is never quite empty.

You have my dream job. I have six kids. 24, 23,20,15,13 & 8. have had brief stints at being a SAHM, but finances always drove me back to the work force. It isn't that the job is glamorous or easy, it's that it is soooooooo rewarding. Right now I am an Administrative Assistant at an Insurance company. It is a job.

Your job sounds interesting, but I am sure at the same time can be frustrating when you can't get something working like it should. I work for Yellow Cab as a Call taker. I answer phones, and input the information when someone calls into the Computer. It overall is not too bad of a job, but there are days when it can become quite frustrating and not very rewarding at all. One of my main complaints with the job is the pay. For the type of work I do almost all companies out there who have this type of work, are paying a lot better than what I get, but since my company pays my Medical premium, I guess I cannot complain. Before this, I have done a number of Customer Service and retail type jobs. I have also done stuff online, owned my Own Business, etc. I still have some online stuff I do besides myLot, but nothing is paying me well enough to stay home yet. Maybe someday.

I am a stay at home mom. Before I became a parent I worked as a kennel attendant. Even though it was dirty work and it didn't pay much, I still enjoyed it and loved taking care of the animals, most of the time. LOL

hi lilpiknik, Welcome to mylot I see that you're somewhat new! You ask what I do for a living? Well.. I am employed at three different nursing homes and one hospital. Lately I haven't been picking up any shifts at the hospital but sometimes I do accept shift if I can do them at all three other nursing homes. I have a point position at one of the places which I find is the furthest to drive. I was working there before we moved to such a longer distance. I can't see myself quitting or giving up my position anytime soon because I enjoy my work there. I'm happy where I live now that spring is just around the corner and summer is here soon as well. I don't mind the drive to work in the spring and summer but the winter is difficult due to all the snowdrifts that make it dangerous to drive in. Not to mention the snow storms that make the visiblity difficult and it makes the drive more of a task. My position at the nursing homes is Health Care Aide.

Well a nurse's aide is who usually does most work when it comes to the physical part of the job. A registered nurse is usually who we report to when we run into trouble. The Health Care Aide course itself is not that hard. When I got my certificate, it took me about nine months but now they offer 4 or 5 months to complete it and you learn just as much. My workplace will hire healthcare aides that are not certified and they will allow them to work there for a year at least and then the worker can decide or not wether they would like to challenge the course to get certified

I am a researcher in one of the government's legal department. I draft reports for different cases submitted for resolution by our office. I love the work, I love resolving real life cases and I love applying what I learn in my post-grad course. The pay is also good, way and above most of the private companies and other government agencies too. Perfect isn't it? Not quite, I have a terrible boss who thinks all her staff are her slaves and that our salary is coming from her pocket - which is certainly erroneous because our employer is the government itself and not her. It is just sad that we are working under her. She is the most terrible person I have ever met - she speaks of uprightness and all those stuff but she is not really one of those. Gosh I hate her. sorry for the boss rant! lol

Well i am a Library Assistant. Actually this was my first job and i am still doing it today as we speak. Its been 6 years now and i LOVE my job. I am a very advid reader. I have always been, so this was like the perfect dream job that came true for me. It pays well and i love the enviroment. Like mozt jobs, i am nt stuck doing the same thing everyday. I am constantly involved with people and i love it. Although like a lot of jobs that deal with the public, you will have your good days as well as your bad days. But hey thats life. Being a library assistant i have learned many many things as far as authors and history is concerned. Some may think that its a boring job, but i look at each day as an adventure, because i never know what i may learn that day. HAPPY READING!

You are very professional. I know why sometimes you don't like your job, as it is hard to avoid having some unreasonable clients and that's so frustrating. I am working in a trading company and one day I want to start my own business. I love China

For the past 18 months I have been working as an English teacher in China. Previously, I worked as a legal secretary and personal assistant in a large international law firm in Australia. I have to say that my current job is far more rewarding, but also much more challenging, and difficult, than anything I have done previously. I do enjoy it, but I am looking forward to returning to Australia for a year, at the end of this year, before coming back to China for another two or three years.
