I went up to the gas station to replenish my stock again today. I was informed when I walked in that I have my very own key on the cash register now. The owner is also talking about mentioning my toffee in her next mailing since she carries it exclusively. I also had a customer ask me how much for a pound of the stuff he was grabbing out of the basket as he was paying. I told him and he opened up his wallet and handed me some cash. He said I could just leave it up there for him and he would pick it up next time he came in.

Wow! Thats awesome! I just responded to one of your other posts, and saw the follow-up. If you have people "pre-ordering" your toffee, it must be incredible.
If you are willing to put more time into it, the options are endless. I thought up a couple ideas for you off the top of my head.
-You could make a small gift basket with an assortment of toffees(some chocolate covered, some not, different nuts/flavors, etc) and sell the gift basket it 2lb assortments
-Get tins from the Dollar Store(they have them with all sorts of holiday motifs and just regular ones and put the toffee in there. Would be great for Mother's Day coming up.
-If you're really adventurous, start up a small website to sell your toffee. There are plenty of easy to use website design companies now, and just put a merchant gateway(like a link for them to pay using their paypal or credit card) and start a shipping business.

I have thought about the assortment idea. I have started making several different kinds. I make it with pecans, almonds, pistachios, no nuts at all, orange, raspberry, coffee, keoke coffee, peppermint, and toasted coconut. I also do cookies with toffee in them and toffee and chocolate covered pretzels where I fill in the holes on the pretzels with toffee and dunk them in chocolate.
The tins for holidays are good too. I had thought of doing that, but I had not yet.
My sister is my own personal web design company as soon as I kick her in the pants and get her to do it.

I'm happy that this seems to be working out well for you.
As long as it doesn't take you too much gas to drive down to the gas station, you should be all set!

Wow! That's awesome! Nothing like finding a repeat customer like that. I hope there powerful "word of mouth" recommendations really help this venture take off for you. (and hopefully bringing this thread back to the top helps too )

I see that you sell your toffee on ebay. Have you considered using Etsy? (etsy.com)
It's cheaper than Ebay. You'd probably still want to do some Ebay business as your visibility is probably higher there. But put links/subtle directors to your Etsy site to push your customers base over there.
