how do you keep realationship with friends?

i have lost my mobilephone weeks ago. i realized some friends from Internet,we interchange our phone numbers.then we could send short messages to other.however,after losing phone,i also lost all their numbers,i still use the same number.for about three months no one send me a message or call me. before i lost phone,we have the same topic,we often send messages.but why is it now?
