Another senseless crime !

A few days ago there was an bank robbery in Indianapolis,IN and the robber jumped the counter and shot the teller in the abdomen for no reason. He then took the money from her till and left.
The lady was 5 months pregnant with twins. The bullet missed both of the children, but she was in critical condition due to the severe risk that this put her and the babies in.
Today I heard that the babies have since died. Two innocent babies who never had a chance at life due to some random person who thought that they had the right to shoot someone to prove a point. She never refused to give him the money or cause a problem.
Just another example of a senseless crime that occurs in this country every day that someone needs to be sure that this person never sees daylight again!
What do you think about the senseless crimes that you hear about?

I heard this on the news. I live in southern Indiana. there is always crime going on around here. There is always someone killing one another, bank robberies, thefts and you name it. I don't know what the world is coming to anymore. It is very scary. I am afraid to leave the house because of it.

I am very cautious when I go out and I always let someone know where I am going and about what time I should be home as you never know what will happen anymore. It is sad but people just don't think about others.

i think from the sounds of this story (from what you said) it seems crazy, yes people in jobs like that take risks and she "should" have been given maternity leave in the first place. BUT there shouldnt be crimes like this to worry about and stupid people but we know that there are and always will be unfortunately. Just hopefully the person will be put to justice for his crime. Its a shame to see the things some stupid criminals will do when others don't even resist. My two cents...

I agree with you! Howwever, as long as she was healthy and the pregnancy was going well they would not have given her maternity leave yet and that should not have put her in risk of losing her babies. It is sad that some man who thought money was more important that those children is allowed on the street!

I think people today are desensitized with all the violence on TV, movies, even music.
And then of course there are the video and computer games that make killing and hurting people fun!
I think we need a lot more restrictions on things like that. With all the technology we have today, there's no reason that you should have to resort to a violent game to be entertained, and once you get used to one of them, you need one that's even more violent or graphic to get that 'high'. It's nuts ...
Yes, tragic loss for sure.

I agree with you on this. I believe that the movies, television, and games have caused a lot of the problems that we are seeing like this. I also wonder if both parents working and children being home alone has anything to do with it. There is no guidance for so many kids.
