Why is it that if you love someone they hurt you?

I don't understand somethings.When you are in a relationship and happy...why does anyone need to cheat on their signifigant other?Why hurt the person that you say you love and is with?I just don't understand and would like to hear anyones opinion on this matter.

it's man's nature not to be satisfied with what he/she has, that's why it happens. one day one of you may wake up with all the feelings transfered to another lover.

sometimes people are not contented with what they have that is why they hurt the person they are in a relationship with. maybe some person cannot break up the relationship even though they dont love the person anymore and in the process hurt their partner.

I do too have this big question. In my experience there is no story about love happy ending scene. All i been trought is sad tragic and a victim to be in love. May be because i pick the wrong person, or i thought it was not but i believe it's love?
