I wonder if someone can tell apart between a Love and a Sympathy in a relationship? Have you noticed about your current relationship is based on Love or based on Sympathy?
Any insights?

I feel that there cannot be love without sympathy and if you do not have any sympathy with the person whom you like, you cannot love him/her. Love includes sympathy and care. If you care about someone, then only you fall in love with him. Your sympathy should not be in the sense of pity but it should be the positive one for the welfare of your beloved.
Good Post!

of course you will be able to separate sympathy from feelings of love. Love is far more greater than any other feelings and i guess when you have sympathy only for a person you have relationship with, then you will have less patience and less concern.
i think i was in that kind of situation before. i cannot break up with the person cause i know that i will be hurting the person, and the best way is for him to lose his patience on me too... but i eventually gave up and could no longer bear the thought of hurting him more so i decided to break it off.

My relationship is based on love, because there is nothing I am really feel sympathy towards him for, he doesn't have any issues or anything like that.
