Very expensive seafood delicacy

I came from an island-province in the visayas where seafoods are reslly common. But there is this one kind of seafood that is unique and really scary at fisrt sight. It's the se urchin or swake in our dialect.When I was still in my home provice, we used to gather seafoods like the sea urchin during low tides. It looks like a ball of thorns that ranges from yellow gree to black an reall hurts when you get pricked by the spikes. But its roe isvery delicious and very expensive in Japan. Before I've kown it's international reputation and value, it was just as ordinary as any fish in the market for me. What costs a little over 50 pesos a bottle, costs up to a thousand pesos in international restaurants. WOW! I never thought our favorite delicacy and a fisherman's ordinary viand for a day fetches such highr value in foreigm market.

well although my country is surrounded by sea , our seafood is also not really cheap yea how i wish that the seafood here would be cheaper yea . sea urchin is kinda of rare also in here yea .

Yeah..Sea urchins are rare in most areas. Most of them are found in deep waters so I guess my place is luck to have varieties found in shallow waters especially in low tides. Hope you could try it. It's very very delicious.
