Would you give up your current job to be with your dying boyfriend?

I've watched ths one episode im a TV Show featuring the true story of a young mlitary officer with cancer and his girlfriend who gave up her job tobe with him at the hospital everyday. For me, that shows what true love means. Some people would not give up their jobs for a dying loved one thinking taht he would die anyway. His girlfriend took care of him everyday until his last days because his own family seemed to give up on him already. I personally could't speak for mysel is I could do the same. Would you do that?
