I'm out of Premarin, help!

Well, I moved cross country and haven't gotten a gynecologist yet and my prescription for Premarin ran out the middle of March. I'm being driven nuts with hot flashes!
I had a hysterectomy in 1999, made them leave my ovaries but have been on Premarin since 2001.
Is there any other way to stop hot flashes? Aren't they supposed to go away after a couple of years?! I really can't afford a doctor visit right now.
Thanks for any suggestions.

My exMIL use to take Black Cohosh (sp?) for her hot flash. She swore it work better than any medicine.

I tried that before I got the premarin, it didn't work. Or I was too impatient to let it have time to work! This is awful, every hour or so and all night sweating.
