One word you say? but you took Three! Well, OK, But my family came from Scotland too. My Grandfather was a Scot, and very proud of his Root. In 1835 He got the kitchen-maid pregnant and his Disgraced Parents dragged him down to the harbor and Shipped him off to the New World. He worked three years, on a Farm in Canada to save enough money to send for his (future) wife and child. Great Grandpa must have thought Canada was Ok too, else-wise he would have tried to sneak back on the next ship.
Ooh! I'd say Canada is "Freedom!" Meaning that we have Equal rights for both Genders, and for Homosexuals too.
Canada is, "the home of the Brave" our boys are fighting and giving their lives to make Afghanistan a better place.
Canada is"Big" the whole British Isles, would fit quite nicely within the shores Lake Ontario.

I live in Canada and to sum up my country with one word I would have to use "peaceful" Besides peaceful .. I can also think of "generous" "multicultural" "unique" and "untamed" heh.

Chaotic. There is so many things wrong in the United States right now, it isn't even funny. The country is in debt and the economy has gone to crap lately. It gets worse for us here daily. Our country has become very corrupted. I used to think our country was a nice place to live but as time goes by, it gets worse here.

Hello xboxboy!:-)
One word that I would describe my country, Pakistan, with is "Diverse". There is just so much diversity there that even many of the original residents don't know what is all there in their country if they haven't been to different places there.
From hot, dry deserts to glaciers, from second highest peak in the world, K-2 (Karakoram 2) and many other some of the highest points to lush green lands, from as hot as 55 degress Celsius in south-west to -40 degree Celsius in north east, it is geographically very diverse.
It is even more diverse as regards to people. There are at least 35 distinct languages and many dialects spoken there. Choices of clothes are so different from south to north and from east to west. People in many parts of the country are so different than average people living in more populated areas that they don't even seem to belong to same country especially when there is so much diversity in cultures.
There are extremists on religious side and on liberal side but most fall in between. There are many illiterate people on one side and Nobel Prize Laureate in physics and many distinguished scholars on the other. People who don't know how much rich they are and those who live on streets. It has people from almost all the continents (except for Antarctica, LOL!) and many different countries. House to the two of the most ancient civilizations on earth from 4500-5500 years ago (3300-2600 BC) and some in between. It is that diverse, unique and interesting even though it is much smaller a country than US, India, China and Russia.

Beautiful is how I would describe Australia. Beautiful countryside and beaches and the people are beautiful too. Mostly friendly and eager to help out.
