Warning! This thread may contain many spoilers.
I'm currently watching the movie Enchanted with my girls. And, it dawned on me, all of these characters are so very different, with different personalities, struggles, issues, etc. So, it got me wondering, which character am I best able to identify with?
In my younger days, I'd probably say Nathanael, the sidekick type guy who's in love with the queen. For a while there, at least in Jr. high, I was very easily manipulated, finding it difficult to say no, and seeking approval from a great many. However, I have spent many years consciously growing out of that. And, today, that is not me.
Today, I think I'd identify most with Robert, Patrick Dempsey's character. I can be far more cynical then I'd like to think I am, and pretty pessimistic in regards to love, marriage, etc. Though I do have my Prince Edward or Giselle moments, where I am definitely "escaped from a Hallmark card". And, there are many times where I can relate quite well to Pip, the chipmunk. Particularly with the, "wow, I've got to lay off the nuts" thing. ;)
What about you? Which character are you best able to identify with, and why? It doesn't have to be a main character. It could be the bus driver, or the troll, or even the lady who answers the door in the apartment with three plus kids in her arms and tells Edward, "You're too late!" Lord knows I could definitely relate to that if a prince came knocking on my door!

You mean Nancy? The woman that Patrick Dempsey's character was about to get engaged to, but who ended up with Prince Edward?
