Superstars must really be going through pains when they fail to deliver, this statement is as a result of two important football cases last week. the first one is the case ofJohn Arne riise who scored an own goal against his side in the encounter between chelsea and liverpool,it would have been a win for liverpool.I also watched in surprise as Christian Ronaldo throw away an opportunity to put manchester united ahead of barcelona fc in their champions league encounter.these two cases must be very painful, for these great stars.i only wonder how they are able to cope with it,what do you think/how would you handle this if it were you?

Every mistake hurts and if they don't feel it,they probably don't like their own club and they should stop playing football. It is a though sport, like every other, especially because the team depends on you and every move you make affects the whole team and not just yourself. But,every week there's another match to play and if they would be thinking only about mistakes and misses they have made, they probably wouldn't be able to play. I know for myself, when I do something wrong during the match or miss a really good goal opportunity, I'm thinking about it the whole next week, but when the next match starts,I'm fully concentrated to it and aware not to make the same mistake.

hm,i guess you are right in spite of all the pains of loosing some opportunities they should look forward to a chance to do better in the next match even though they feel the pain of the loss

Everything in football is possible ,every of these events are just common in football. we can always that this was their unlucky day or they havent form ,but anyways i think that all these situations are mobilizing them to work harder and "re-buy" all their faults in thier next matches .

It's just the way football is and if they can't deal with it, they maybe should consider another profession. I'm sure it hurt those players but they are professionals and will probably be annoyed with themselves but will put it behind them as they can't change it and will be looking towards the next game now.

i guess you are right as they are professionals they should be able to deal with such mistakes and for sure they must seek to better the results the next time they have the opportunity.i wish them the best next time around,i just hope the fans will not kill their morale as sometimes we expect too much from them forgetting that they are also human beings like us

I'd say it's all in a days work, in Riise's case I think if he'd let the ball pass it would have still been a goal, it hurt more because it was in the last minute. As for Ronaldo, I don't think there has ever been a player who hasn't missed a penalty shot, this one is more apparent because all eyes are set on Ronaldo because he is considered one of the world's top players. The costliest mistakes are the mistakes made by goalkeepers, cause most of the time their mistakes are decisive for a matches result.
