How do you choose your friends?

I have accepted everyone as a friend except one posters who had been outed as someone that just copied and pasted everything I did not accetp that person for that reason. I will also delte those that immediately send me join this program links that really makes me mad!

In general, I wait to be invited I guess. Not really on purpose though, just kind of the way it turns out. Those times when I have sent someone a friend request, it's because I truly enjoy their conversation, and they seem an approachable, at least semi-friendly person. They don't necessarily have to have started any discussions of their own, but if I enjoy speaking with them, or debating with them, what-have-you, then I'll probably want to be their friend, particularly so that I can peek in on conversations they start or respond to, which will likely be interesting to me. They don't have to be someone I agree with often, or ever for that matter, just someone who I think is a good conversationalist, starts interesting discussion, shares interests, etc. Basically, it's not all that different from how I choose friends in real life.
