Are you currently writing something? Working on a novel, poem, short story, memoir, article? What genre is it? What is it about? Is it just for you/your friends or family, or is it something you hope to have published some day?
Share as much or as little about your current project (or a recent one) as you wish.
As for me, I'm currently working on two novels. The first, which is nearly done, is a young adult fantasy. I hope to make it to around 40,000 words or so for that one. I'm trying to mix traditional fantasy elements with the modern world, and provide a female heroine within the genre, that I hope will come off as strong and realistically struggling as the vast majority of teenage male heroes are within the genre.
The second is an adult sci-fi/thriller. That one I'm still researching for. I haven't written but one paragraph, and about two pages worth of notes. For that one, my aim is going to be around 50-75,000 words, I think.
Both are projects I hope to have published one day. *crossing fingers*

I'm always working on several prjects at once. I have a hard time focusing on one things at a time. When I hit a block on one, I'll move to another. Then when I hit a block on that one I'll go back to the first or move to another.
The biggest thing I'm working on right now is a research/argument paper for my College English class. Its on socialization in public schools verses homeschools. I'm approaching the paper with the intent to inform my readers of the truths, to ride them of the falisies coroding the public's minds about homeschoolers. Then allowing them to come to their own conclusions.

Now that is something that greatly interests me. But, I'm a bit biased, seeing as how I am homeschooling my two daughters right now. I'm in California though, so we're still waiting on a decision to see what kinds of homeschooling programs will be considered illegal come next year. I think, though, that I'm going to be enrolling the kids in California Virtual Academies (CAVA) next year, which is a public charter school that does nearly all of it's instruction through homeschooling (meet with the teacher 4 times a year, still have to do the standardized testing that I hate, but you get a far better curriculum then regular public school, and they're being taught at home for the majority of their time).
I'm still considering my options though, and waiting on that darned decision.

I'm a bit biased on this one too. I homeschool my four children, and have since day one. I get tired of having to defend them at the playground from the public school bullies, who are supposed to be more socialized than my kids...yeah right!
Anyway, one thing I am having a hard time on this paper, is to keep the "I" and "me" out of it, since first person language is not acceptable. I have to keep this as an informative paper, and not a personal argument. Even though, this whole class is based around argument thesis. It's tough.

I am currently working on someone else's memoirs. I am doing an editing job and will get paid for it, hopefully some good money. I don't even know what to charge them as this is my first editing job. It is taking my time away from my writing, though it is also motivating me.
I have two novels finished... sort of. The first one is 125,000+ words but needs some editing I am sure. I have learned a lot since I finished that novel a couple of years ago. The second novel is 50,000 words which I thought was long enough but an agent I met recently said it was too short, so it needs some more work. I have already come up with an idea for some more to add to the end, an epilogue. Within the novel I will expand on the characters. I definitely plan on having these, and other novels published.
Our writing group is putting together an anthology. Who the heck knows when that will get published? So I am also writing short stories and poetry. I try and write articles but I am not comfortable doing that. But I do it to post on Triond and bring in a little money (very little money).
Good luck to you!

I have two things I do regularly that I write. Both are *gasp* blogs. They are on the Blogspot community. One is more a chronicle of my life, stuff I remember, things about life now, that sort of thing. The other is all my own fiction writing. It's really just a collection of really short stories at the moment. Maybe some day they will work their way in to being a longer story, but I don't know. I write to get it out, as a way to use the creative stream I have going through me. It needs to be tapped regularly, though I don't often enough. I need to make time to write more often.

I am studying now,for i'm student.So I think what i should do is student.
I heard that "where there is a will, there is a way." And if we want let something come true, the only thing we should do at the beginning is make a plan!Do you agree with with me.One couldn't done nothing successful without a detail plan. my own view.
Knowledge is power, maybe it don't work now,but it must useful to you in the future.

I was working on two novels when my computer I was using went down and I lost both of them. Luckily I was no where near finished with either, so I didn't lose a lot. One was about a dream I had one night. I can sometimes have strange dreams, but this one was actually pretty interesting. It's a mixture of sci-fi, fantasy, action, and romance. The other was just something I came up with off the top of my head about a princess and a kingdom that was doomed. I may start them up again one day, but not sure. Good luck getting your novels published!

I have 3 projects in mind, two of which I have already started. 2 of them are full blown novels and the other is a collection of sci-fi/horror short stories.
The last book which I finally just completed last month I think came up to 250,000 or so words. It ended up taking me longer due to unexpected turns in life but I was happy to have it finally completed.

I'm currently working on a new series of books.
The first one is being edited, and should be around 230 something pages, and is finished.
The one I just started is book two.
It's a supernatural drama, heh.
I haven't decided if I'd want to publish them one day or not, they just wanted to be written.
As it is, they're about a boy who learns that he's in danger of falling victim to the family curse, like his father. He grew up sheltered from the "Otherworld" by his Mom and Aunt, who raised him for his own protection.
But after his Uncle comes to call, more and more he finds that his Mom and Aunt can no longer protect him as much as they could before...and that he doesn't have much of a choice but accept the existance of the unexplainable =)
It's a hard project for me. Mostly because of the vast overwhelming amount of female heroes in my varied books, and also because the books don't focus so much on the plot but the characters. Plus it's being written in first person -- which is harder than third person for me.
But I'm enjoying it because it's challenging =)

I have a lot of ideas to write and I wish that I could get most of them out but most of the time I can't. Right now I am working on this novel that deals with teens. I really like writting books that teens can read and relate too. I've been working on it for like forever and I seriously haven't accomplished much. Something always gets in the way like school which is about to finish in a few weeks. I am hoping that once this semester is up I'll have more time to work on it.
The novel that I am writting is just about teen that has to move places and she is starting in a new school. So far I only have 13 pages which is the most i've gotten from any story i've tried to write. This is something that I hope gets published. Well I'm glad that you are almost finished with the first novel and I am crossing my fingers so that i gets published too. I wish you luck with the second novel that you are writting. I hope that you do reach your goal and that, that one also gets published.
