There are so many that I love, but when I was eight I accepted the Lord into my heart and life. I was at a Christian youth camp in northern Wisconsin. Fort Wilderness. It was run by a man named Tru Roberts. He was a wonderful man and mentor. And the first person I told. He gave me a memory verse and asked me to try to have it memorized before we went home, which gave me about a week and a half. When we met at the mess hall for supper that night, I would not eat until he heard me recite my memorized verse.
Romans 6:22-23
And now being made free from sin, and becoming sevants unto God, ye have your fruit unto holiness and the end everlasting life. For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
I will never forget the look on his face when he realized I had memorized that verse so quickly. That was 38 years ago.

I have two now. For the longest time, Matthew 11:28-30 was my life verse. I liked it in the new king james version, but now I'll share the living translation "Then Jesus said, "Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke fits perfectly, and the burden I give you is light." That version just helps bring the meaning to life.
But since I got my last tatto, I have a newer favorite. John 15:5-8, this is Jesus speaking again,"Yes I am the true vine; you are the branches. Those who remain in me, and I in them, will produce much fruit. For apart from me, they can do nothing. Anyone who parts from me is thrown away like a useless branch ans withers. Such branches are gathered into a pile and burned. But if you stay joined to me and my words remain in you, you may ask any request you like, and it will be granted! My true disciples produce much fruit. This brings me much joy."

I have always been thankful for that first one. His burden is so much lighter than the worlds.

hehe you have had a star for the past 21 posts:) You get them when you reach 100 posts:)
And yes, that Matthew verse has always meant a lot to me. Do you like the living translation version? It just sounds so much more personal I think.

My favorite verse that's a hard choice but when I think about it it comes down to 2 sections of the bible that I love.
Romans 8:28 which is:
"And we know that in all things God works for the good of those that love him, who have been called according to his purpose."
Also there's phil 4:6 which is:
"Don't worry about anything but pray about everything."
both of those verses mean alot to me and have brought me through alot.

Prayer without ceasing. That is one of the best pieces of advise there is.
