What are your expectations of the new albulm coming out sometime in September/ October 2008? Do you think that the excess time taken by the group in putting out this particular albulm is justified? Will tis lead to a better albulm? Is the same energy there again as it was when they put out Master Of Puppets albulm?

For me I've got pretty high expectations for this album. There is no excuse for how bad "St. Anger" was but I'm confident this album will be much better then that. Since guitar solos are back, tuning is standard, and the snare is back on this record's basically already better then St. Anger. I have a lot of confidence in James' writing abilities and since the band is in a better place as a whole and as individuals this time around I think the result will be a very good record. I do expect something similar to The Black Album but also with some elements of "...And Justice For All" Also just the time its taken them to write and record this better make the record good. Ulrich's said once its out people will forget how long it took, but this is really only going to work if the records a good one.

I think 'St. Anger' was a total artistic disaster. I didn't want to have anything to do with them after it. However, now as the new album is produced by Rick Rubin and they said they're gonna play some good long solos on it, I have some hope. I'm not to eager about the fact that we have to wait so long for the new album, but there definitely is hope. Though, I believe there is no energy in Metallica today. I think they burnt out after Black Album. Load and Reload had some good songs, even S&M had that 'No Leaf Clover' which was hell of a good song, but now? I don't know. Time will tell and I won't run to the shop to buy the new album;), but if I read good reviews and hear a good single then most probably I will buy it... eventually:)

if they don't re-capture the Metallica of the "Black Album", "And Justice For All" or anything with Cliff Burton playing bass. then in my opinion, they might as well just resign themselves to do episodes of "Where are they now" on the E channel, or "Golfing with Lars"...or if we're really lucky, maybe we'll get a "Very Merry Christmas with Metallica...hosted by Donnie Osmond"

looking forward to this new album. i think metallica has taken a different approach in making their music. i like their old material better like those songs from master of puppets, ride the lightning, and justice from all, and of of course, songs from the black album. the songs from the new albums are also good and listening to these made me realize that the group has embraced change. i particulary like songs from load, re-load, and st. anger.
i think we hear a more introspective band in this new album.
