Slow photo uploading on the email?

I have tried sending photos though the email in hotmail but the process is really really slow. I was dis appointed because I expected the whole would take just a few minutes, but I encountered several problems along the way. I thought it would be jsut as easy as sending ordinary emails considering the capability of the internet nowadays. Maybe I also did some mistakes while doing it, or perhaps I just wasn't able to find the right program for it. Could anyone tell me how to make photo sending through email quick and easy?

Yes thats true. I encountered that mostly in my yahoo email. So when I need to upload some picture, I will use my gmail account so that it is very easy and fast for uploading photo there.

Thank you so much for all your responses (the others are included in this comment). The pictures came from a digicam and they were about a hundred. I used my hotmail account and reduced the sizes. I was able to send all of them although it took me several minutes. Thank You!!!!!

firstly, it depends on the file size. If you dont want to compensate on the quality you might not want to change the size so it comes down to your internet connection speed of uploading which plays a main part. Also hotmail only lets you upload 10 mb of data per email so that might also be a factor. And also there is a virus scan, that delays the process. Yahoo e mail is the best for uploading since you can upload all you files and once rather than hotmail you have to upload it one by one.

I agree with ferdzNK, the most likely reason is the overall size of the picture. Ensure that the image is jpeg and not bitmap, then reduce the size to keep the amount of data to a minimum.

I guest the pictures you are sending are too big and too many. If the pictures came from a digital camera try reducing it size to about 300 to 500 KB.
