I love the hummingbird, I like to watch them. They are the smallest bird in the world.I love the sound that they make with the beating of their wings. a Humming sound. They are small in size but have large appitites, They can digest a fruit fly in 10 seconds.
When it comes to flying, nobody does it better. Like a helicopter, a hummingbird can go up, down, sideways, backwards, even upside down! They can beat their wings up to 200 times per second. Hummingbirds are such good fliers that most of them never walk as far as 2 inches.
I have a hummingbird feeder in my yard for the hummingbirds i also have a honysuckle bush that they love, plus a lot of other flowers that attract them. Do you like hummingbirds?

I find them really fascinating. I love how they move and how they seem to be so curious. We really don't have them around our house. I haven't seen on in years. I don't think we'd be able to safely put a feeder for them either. We have too many cats at my house that would probably chase them off everytime they tried to get too close to the feeder.

I love hummingbirds too. I have many hummingbird feeders and always have a butterfly/hummingbird garden. I like to sit out in the yard and watch the hummingbirds. Many times they have flown and stopped right in front of my face. I love too watch them chase each other all over. They seem like pretty aggressive little birds. I make my own food for their feeders, they seem to like it more than the store bought stuff. I just mix 2 cups of sugar into warm water and then just add red food coloring. They will eat this in no time flat and it is a lot cheaper to make.

I love hummingbirds. We used to have a feeder in our backyard when I was a kid, and I was so amazed at how they moved.

I love hummingbirds! I've noticed that there are different sizes, though. When I lived in Arizona, the hummingbirds were small but when I moved home to Ohio, the little birds were half the size of those in Arizona! I had always assumed they were pretty uniform in size.
In Arizona, too, there is a hummingbird moth that will fool you into thinking it's a hummingbird until you're close enough to see! I think that's interesting.

I think hummingbirds are one of the most fascinating birds to watch. It fascinates me the way they fly backwards. And watching their wings is a real trip. Here is a site that has photos of hummingbirds.

I think hummingbirds are really neat to watch fly and it is so amazing they are the only bird that can fly backwards. My mom has alot of hummingbirds in her yard she hangs hummingbird feeders up for them to eat out of.

I also love hummingbirds. I see one emeraldg reen humming bird with a ruby throat ocassionally as she sips nectar from the blooming bushes around our complex. she is so lovely and her little wings beat so fast they are a blur. she is not very afraid if you sit very quietley and just watch her as she sips nectar. she sometimes seems to have trouble if the wind is blowing very hard but she seems to always find a way to save herself from it. I think a hummingbird feeder would be just the ticket in our front yard. thanks for the idea.

Oh yes, I think hummingbirds are the cutest little things and absolutely amazing to watch.
I bought a cheap hummingbird feeder a week or so ago and went to fill it and realized there was no bottom to it. It was hanging outside anyway until I could get another.
Yesterday my husband was out having a smoke break and he said that a hummingbird came up to that feeder twice! Poor thing was terribly disappointed, I'm sure.
I bought another feeder and filled it right up, but I haven't seen him back yet. I'll get the other one replaced and put it out front, so we'll be able to watch for them from both ends of the house.

I like hummingbirds as well. My parents have a feeder in their yard at the camp. It's quite amazing to watch them come and on. They get quite a few. One of the intresting things about them is that they almost never stop moving. I just think they're cool and beautiful creatures

I love hummingbirds! I think they are so cute! My parents have a feeder and they get a bunch at their house. My husband's parent's have a feeder too. Theirs is right outside the living room window so you can watch them from inside without scaring them off.
