We were planning a trip to California, we live on the East Coast. With the recent gas prices I'm rethinking the trip. I know that food will be more expensive this summer as will everything else. Not sure spending thousands of dollars on a trip is wise. Has anyone else cancelled vacation plans?

We have decided against vacationing this year. Just way to costly. We already don't drive anymore than we absolutely have to. Is crazy but the prices doesn't seem to slow a lot of folks down at all. I don't know how they do it.

increasing gas prices will increase the cost of everything... food , clothes and all the things that we require for the daily life.... so this summer the gas prices will definitely make me change my plans of any trips.

I have cancelled our once a year trip to see my husbands grandparents. His grandpa passed away the Sunday after Thanksgiving but we were still going to see his step grandma but now that gas is up to $3.55 a gallon and food prices are on the rise the $150 it would cost in gas alone will be going towards feeding my family instead.
