I start a regular exercise program regularly for 1 or 2 days. I promise myself that I will continue my regular exercise program for health and weight loss, but my promise fizzles out after a couple of days. Anyone have any advice that has helped you stick with regular exercize?

You will definitely be more willing to exercise if you like doing it. Don't do boring stuff like push ups or abs but go biking around or go jogging if that is your cup of tea. Try some new sports like rock climbing. If you want to stick to the boring stuff, give yourself a small reward for having done it. Set yourself some goals and then get a reward for fulfilling them.

Yeah, I agree. Start with slow exercises first. Then go for the big stuff, like long bike rides and hiking.

That was a really good suggestion. If you enjoy things like roller skating or blading, hiking, rock climbing, snowboarding - those are all really fun yet pretty strenuous exercise. Quadding and dirt biking would count too, as well as yard work.

Someone to exercise with is the best way to go. Then, actually doing something rather than using an exercise machine is best. That is, walk, ride a bike, do physical work (maybe get paid for physical labor!), or something like that.

Thanks for your suggestions. I may be able to find an exercise partner and try to save the machines for when its messy outside.

Yeah, having regular physical fitness exercise plans are really important along with well balance diets. Be careful not to overeat at all. And be careful about your weight loss also.

It is hard for me to eat right and exercise, but I have a plan and I guess that is a first step. Starting a new eating plan tomorrow, and a new exercise video. Thanks for your response.

It is good that you have started the exercise program. But to continue you must be motivated. One way is to join you local fitness centre. There they have all the facilities and condusive enviroment to do the exercise. They also have well trained instructor to assist you. You should try this. You will be glad you did. I am 59 years old and I still enjoy going to the fitness centre.
