Feel the FEAR !

What does it take to make you afraid?!?
I'd like to think that i'm generally quite a brave person, (although in reality, i think the opposite may be true... as you'll see!), but i do have a few too many odd 'irrational' fears.
Birds, for example, they scare me! (those flapping wings... those sharp claws.... and beaks... ugh! it just makes me shudder thinking about it), and then there's Spiders, Moths, Confined Spaces, Crowds.... i could literally write a list as long as my arm comprised of things which make me feel slightly nervous up to sheer terror for some!
This got me thinking, as to what other people's fears might be?
What do you find most frightening?
Are there many things in life that scare you?

I don't really have any fears of any animals/creatures, but I do really dislike certain textures against my skin, but that's not really a fear.
So far in my life, I haven't had a phobia or intense fear of anything, and I hope that it continues that way =)
I wouldn't really call myself "brave" though, I don't think.

It doesnt necessarily have to be a phobia, or an intense fear... just any kind of mild fears will do fine :)
So, certain textures on your skin.... what sort of textures in particular would these be?
Im guessing at rubber maybe? Because i could kind of understand that, (i have no idea why!), b/c it does have a strange feeling to it when it rubs against your skin.
Its not a fear, or even strong dislike of mine though i must say, (im relieved actually.. i thought id monopolised every fear going!;).
So what sort of textures are they that feel the worst to you? Im very interested to know! :) xxx

Rubbing crushed velvet the "wrong way" really grosses me out, and so I can't really wear anything made of it, because I might accidentally do it.
It feels icky on my fingertips, and especially if the strands/fibres touch the skin under my fingernails.
I also don't like the feeling of my hair on my neck and shoulders sometimes, it makes me itch and is obviously irritating.
Coarse carpet touching my skin is awful, and I don't like it when other people's clothes brush my skin when I'm doing something, like if my boyfriend and I are on the couch together, watching a movie or playing on the Xbox, and the sleeve of his shirt keeps brushing against my arm ever so often, I can't stand it.
I don't really know why this gets to me, but it really does.
I also have a lot of textures that I love, though, and as a result I like to be barefoot as much as possible.
I love newly tarred/concreted paths and roads, because they're really smooth, the same with pebbles, soft mowed grass, and corrugated metals.
Two of my favourites are my kittens fur and my boyfriend's skin =D

Great, finally someone else with an irrational fear of Crushed Velvet.
ever since I was a child, the thought of touching "Red Crushed Velvet" would literally make me sick to my stomach. I have even vomited because of this unusual illness. Any other color is not so bad, but red or burgundy colors will start this crazy feeling.
I am also very fearful of buttons, any and all kinds, especially if they are all in the same box or bowl. I am so fearful, that I can not eat a bowl of Cherio's or fruit loops or any type of cereal with loops or circles.
Other than these crazy phobia's, I am fine. I really don't like to touch jewelry of any kind, for the fact that I am not aware of where this may have come from and if it has been thoroughly cleaned.
Any comments?

yeah, i agree, im not a sensitive person per se, but i noticed that im not good at handling rejection. (and also, that is according to my zodiac sign info, LOL) and ive heard of spirit guides, ive heard from a psychic that you have to have your 3rd eye open at the least for you to see them, (but of course it is rare, not all people with an open 3rd eye can see their spirit guides and predict the future) she can actually see her spirit guide and other people's spirit guide as well.

I must admit, i'm rather scared of rejection myself.. its just mortifying isnt it?!
Mind you, i dont suppose anyone really likes it much ~ perhaps some people just deal with it better than others.
Im a very emotional person myself, and i take things ever so personally, so rejection is a biggy for me too.
As for Ghosts, i dont really have that problem ~ i'm not all that fearful of the Spiritual world per se.. in fact, i would absolutely love to meet my 'Spirit Guide' one day.. i've tried before, but with no success, so it seems i'm not as gifted as i'd hoped! ;) xxx
