The movie bridges of madison county is great.one should watch it at least for the message it carries."if you want something bad, then go after it".
it is a complex book as well as a complex movie.there is no black and white here.on one hand, there is love but on the other friendship and duty.
which would you choose and why?

I did not like the movie! Sure, the acting was entertaining, but I did not like the message. The message was one of lack of integrity and betrayal. I would choose friendship and duty. After all, its the story of a mother and housewife who cheats on her husband when the handsome stranger comes to town. Yuk.

hey i guess it all depends on one's perception.i really do not think that i was lust but love.but can you betray your family for that love.after all we are all tempted everyday in our lives.how far do we actually resist it?the movie can relate to both views,i suppose.
but just imagine being tempted, and you just take a small bite of that apple, soon you want not just the apple but the whole tree.the temptetion!
for those who have not seen the movie there is the book.

I enjoyed reading the book. However, my two cents worth' is that one must always flee from temptations. How do you reconcile between gratifying own's selfish desires and betraying the trust of your loved ones? If you want something bad, you still have to weigh whether you will cause hurt to others if you blatantly pursue it.
