Do you do a "taste test" before serving your food? I do every once in awhile...

Oh yes I really taste test before serving. Because DH doesnot like adding salt after it is served. Also for certain foods you cannot add that is less. So I do a taste test.

lol..never...and that's one of my husband's complaints too...that I never do a taste test. Cooking on a daily basis is something I need to get over with....and I use less salt...and my husband needs more...so sometimes I remember and put in a little more salt than I normally would put in. Then my husband would say it's too much salt. But I never do the taste test till I get to the table..lol I guess I better start doing it.

Yes, I don't really believe that measuring foods and ingredients is the answer to make a good meal. I always do some taste test, especially heere in my home where most of us have different tastes for the food we eat. I just have to make sure that it would be suitable for everyone, so food is not wasted because they don't prefer the flavor/taste of it..

I would think that the preparing of food would really be hard for people who have large families, picky eaters and dishes for people with special diets.

I do a taste test quite often especially if I am making a new dish I have never done before. i want to know how it is coming out and it needs more seasoning and what kind of seasoning I should use.

Does your whole family "taste test" the food? What happens if one of them doesn't like it..Maybe it doesn't have the right amount of seasoning in it for them?
