There goes on old saying said by George wachington:"Undertake not what you can not perform,but be careful to keep your promise."
I really care the promises made by my parents or good friends.But they often forget that.I am so sad of that.Maybe i am too earnest of the promise.
What about you?
Do you care promise?
Do you feel bad when the promise doesn't come ture?

Keeping promise is never so easy, so it's better not to make a promise so easily. When I make a promise, I will try to keep it as that's important. I pay attention to my fame. I shall be reliable, otherwise others won't trust me any more. Especially when I make a promise to my child, I do keep it. I shall teach him the right thing.

i am sorry for you. And i think that it is very important for people to keep their promises, but you know what, there are many people out there that do not care about their promises and look down on them. But you must remember that, those people will eat their own fruits if they continuing doing that in their lives.
And also, please differentiate between promises and light-hearted words. You know there are many people in our lives can just say somethings that is from their feet and not from their head. Be aware of them and dont hold your hope too high on those rubbish

That quotation is so true. If you can't keep a promise, don't make. If you make a promise, keep it. And if something happens to prevent you from keeping your promise, contact the other party to advise them of the situation.
Unfortunately, a lot of people make and break promises regularly and seem to see nothing wrong with doing that. And it has been hurtful. Now I consider where the promise is coming from to determine if it will be fulfilled.

Thank you for your response to my discussion.There are really many people don't pay attention to promise.Maybe they don't mean to hurt ohters,but break the promise will hurt deeply to people.It is really important to try our best to keep the promise.

I never promise anything if I know I cannot fulfill it,
otherwise I always keep my promises to others. in the
rare event I cannot keep my promiseI let the other person
know at once and why I cannot. this is only fair. I also
expect others to keep their promises to me, too. I am'
really hurt if they break their promise.
