What is the last thing your son or daughter did for you? I don't have a son and as all my friends here at myLot know I only have one daughter.
My husband was at work and my daughter got there before he was off work. One of the employees went to get my husband and told him a young lady was there to see him. He immediately had a sick feeling because he knew it would have to be my daughter and he thought right away something else went wrong with someone. He said he was glad to come out and see her standing there with a happy face he knew then all must be well. Because times are hard right now and my girl knows that she had a big huge box to put in hubbys truck. She had been shopping and she bought a big pile of groceries and I mean meat and everything. She also bought me three T shirts. When I had my fall they had to cut my coat off and my best T shirt, she felt bad and went out and replaced them for me. When my husband got home I couldn't figure out what he was carrying in. He thought I knew about this and I did not know. I couldn't unpack the groceries without bursting into tears, I just couldn't believe it.

You are really blessed hon, I am so happy for you. My son lives with me, and he has no more money than I have. So I would have to say he had a few dollars and bought me some food from the restaurant, it wasn't much just hotdogs and french fries but he did that today and that was so nice.

That is one of the loveliest most thoughtful things I've ever heard of. What a lovely comfort your daughter is to you. I so wish mine were like that. It must have been exciting to see your hubby carrying the bags in . I'm really happy for you.

I can just tell in the way you worded this that you really are happy for me and I Thank You from the bottom of my heart it means a lot. There just is no greater love than the love I have for my daughter and the love she holds for me.

My little girl is only four, but she is so generous. She is always offering to buy things for us with the pocket money that she has in her piggy bank (if the truth be known, she has more in savings than we have!). She is always ready to share any sweets or treats that she has, and would think nothing of giving someone her last sweet. I like to think that she is so secure in the knowledge that there is always something good around the corner that she doesn't mind giving away the good things that she has in her hand.
On a daily basis when I get home, she always shouts 'Daddy!' and comes running - what more can you ask for....

WOW!! What a wonderful daughter you have raised. My children are still very young. I hope to raise them to be socially conscious individuals and help those in need, even if it is family. Your daughter loves you and knows you would never ask for help and wanted to do a little to show you how much she understands.

The last thing my 22 year old son did for me was to call me from out of state and the call consisted of MOM I just wanted to call you and tell you I love you and thank you for being my mom. Well I cried because he did not give me time to respond and my heart just felt so warm.

Those are the calls that mean the world and are worth far more than money can buy. It would and should be a call every mother should get every so often. How special

Times are tight everywhere and it is true that these are the times when one's character either shines or fades away. It takes a village, you know, and when we see generosity like your daughter showed it gives us all such hope in the future. Good work mom! You raised her and she is a loving, caring and unselfish asset to humanity!
Know you are blessed and that we thank you for blessing us by how you have raised her. Thank you for sharing this and lifting all our spirits.
My son tucked me in on the couch last night (he's 13) as he was giving me a kiss good-night. I was half asleep myself, but awake enough to thank him & God for his love and affection.

Your daughter is a jewel.
My kids are far away from me. At Christmas, my daughter baked cookies and sent them to us. She isn't an experienced baker and as for packing them - well she just put them in the box. We ate every crumb, and I do mean crumbs. My kids call me all the time and that means more than anything else could.

Last week she went with me to get a new dining room set and she is so strong that she just carried it right into the house! LOL.....I think I have such a wonderful daughter in law!

My sisters and I all agree... we couldn't make it without our daughters!! We've all had medical problems as well, and they are always there, helping us through. They all have the biggest hearts, and the sweetest natures... I can't wait to pay mine back for just a small part of what she's done... I love that girl!!!

Grandmaof2 your daughter is a real peach. How nice of
her to bring you groceries and three t shirts too.
That was a really nice surprise for you. what a loving and loveable daughter you have. The last thing my son did
for me as usual was to put my box fan in my window
last night and turn it on. I know that does not sound like abig deal but it is to me as I cannot lift my left arm more
than about a foot and the window is a lot higher than
that so he knows I really have a problem trying to
get it up there, its a big box fan, with only one and
a half arms. Like you I had a fall two years ago that crushed he bones in my left shoulder so badly it could not be set and
I had to have a shoulder joint replacementwhich meant
surgery and much pain.lol anyway I love him for doing that
for me without being asked and as a matter of course.
