Well, to some one, especially some classmates in the university, i may have a decent job. But i'm not quite happy working, i sometimes even have the feeling to quit my job. Can you understand this feeling? Well, the salary's not very high, but at least i can live on my own, the job's easy and comfortable. However, i don't think my ability has been applied well here. I sometimes even want to have a job which salary is much lower than this one, but where i will work to fully develop myself. I dare not to make a rough decision, my parents will not agree, and i'm afraid i'd regret if i change the job. I do want to make changes and not waste time here with a not bad salary. I can't learn things during work, i have plenty of time, but i just can't learn thing during work, especially those things have nothing to do with my present job. I may not use them, and i will keep forgetting if not used

don't you worry. make your current job as a stepping stone to get where you want. if you can't be good in what you do, even though it is so simple then you can't be good at anything. since you are there already, learn to be patient and make use of your time, be productive. now, while you are at it then if you have a spare ime , you could have our resume sent to different job openings so you won't b out of job when you resign.

Hi, tigerdragon. Thanks for sharing. I can handle with all the things in my current work, cause i don't have too much things to do. I used to keep learning all the time, but after months i just found that those newly learned can't be applied to the job, then i'd think that i'm wasting time learning all these if i can't use it. Maybe one day i will need them, but there's no definite time and maybe all my lifetime they will not come effect. I know well that if i can't do easy job well here, i can't do elsewhere. The thing is that i'm doing well and no improvement and meanwhile wasting time. Improvements might exist, but have to wait, probably 2 or 3 years, i'm not sure.

Hello there my dear friend lynette. I think there's nothing wrong in you listening to your heart and making the next step for yourself. People tend to advice around us, but it is us who make the decision at the end of the day because we know ourselves better. However, if there are more informed decisions, it is better to stick with that though the views are not from us.
But in your case, I think that you should follow your heart and if you aren't happy, you should change job. But make sure that you have gotten a new job before you resign the existing one so that you will be more secured financially and in terms of how to answer to your parents. At least, you would have a back-up plan.

Yeah, a back-up plan first, otherwise, i'd be much more upset to face people around me including my parents. They'd think i'm crazy, why quit a comfortable and profitable job for a tired one and less earnings? I still don't find an explanation, a good one to convince them. Maybe the problem is in myself, i'm too discontented, difficult to fulfil my cupidity. I don't know actually, i'm confused

Don't be confused, lynette. Parents everywhere will always have a kind of mindset and expectation of their children. Sometimes you have to disappoint them for a while to prove your point and go with your heart. Trust me that they will be fine in future and learn to accept the path that you have chosen.
Take care and have a nice day there. :)-

I have the same feeling sometimes. When I was single, I could at least have more freedom to it. I especially felt bad when it's sunny in the morning but I had to stay in the office. When I was off work, it's already dark outside. I don't like it at all. But I have married and I have my child, so I have to be responsible to it. If it's not necessary, I can't quit my job. I want we will have a better living conditioners and I have to earn more for the future.

Thanks, youless. Maybe my feeling's not the same as yours, i don't think that i lack freedom, i consider mine's wasting my valuable time. Well, is that we are too conservative? I don't konw, i'm too upset about quitting one job, i dare not imagine that one day i'd regret for my abrupt decision. I also tell myself, come on, if you aren't happy in such a comfortable job, how can you be happier in other inferior ones? Then i wait

Yes. If you are not happy, quit.
A decent job is not what you want. It is a job, that well develop you, give you more insights, more friends, more realizations, more learnings, and the ability to grow. A job that will make you grow both as a person and as a professional.
I am 26, I have already quit three jobs. So, don't worry you are not alone.
If you can sleep at night, and if you think you are restless because of the idea of quitting your job. Quit. It will give you the peace of mind, and a happier you.

Thanks for sharing. I don't learn too much when doing this job, that's why i'm worried. But i can still sleep well at night, only when i come to the office and sit down that i feel upset. I'm not very happy when thinking of the job. I can't see the prospect to develop, yeah, but there will definitely. I just don't want to wait that long for a promotion. And i don't know what to study to get that promotion.

Hello, your first response huh? Glad to see that. Thanks for sharing anyway. Mine's different from yours i guess, i don't hate my boss at all. I just find myself can't fully use the knowledge i've learned and try to go away from this situation.
