When I was little, I think I had a recurring dream about a horror film called Candy Man, because, at the time, I was traumatized because of that movie! Otherwise, I never really remember my dreams, unless I keep thinking about it...

The dreams that we never want are the scary dreams. I myself used to have them and they might be because we had superstitious maids who would talk about scary things.

They said dreams and nightmares help you deal with the stuff you can't deal with/don't want to deal with when you're awake. Antibiotics do weird stuff to people, might as well be connecting to your dream.
I don't often remember my dream but as far as I know there are not nightmares, they are just funny or weird, and after I woke up I move on and feeling of the dream doesn't linger the whole day.

I like dreams when they are funny and weird. It's the dreams that are scary that bother me. Thanks for your response.

yes i do have dreams when i sleep. some i totally forgot when i wake up, the others are still vivid in my mind. there was a period of time when i'd be dreaming, then wake up to go to the bathroom, go back to sleep and continue the dream. it's freaky but quite fun especially if it's a god dream.
there was a period of time in my life when i kept having the same dream. i was being chased by some vampires and i'll wake up just as they were catching up with me. the scary thing about this is i'll wake up at the exact same time. i wake with a start and realise it's 3am in the morning. it last for one whole month and needless to say, i was totally stressed out.

Like you, I have had scary dreams too and for a while I kept a journal but nothing came out of that. I hope you discover a way of stopping the vampires before they come.

I do dream but lately I haven't been remembering them. I used to have recurring dreams of an intruder in my house and needing to escape or trying to phone the police with no luck. This dream I had for about 10 years and then it automatically stopped. I'm not sure what stopped it!

It is good to know that the dream has stopped. There must be something optimistic about your life which has turned off something which could be a warning signal. Either way, congratulations on your escape from the dream. Cheers!!

I quite frequently remember both my dreams and my nightmares. I had this one nightmare when my little brother turned into Pinocchio and fell down the stairs and shattered, then my mom began screaming at me so I had to make up lies about what really happened. I had this dream a lot.

Sounds like something serious. I don't know what it means but if it recurs time and again it might be asking you to pay some attention to something.

I think it's a blessing that we don't remember all our dreams because it would really mess up our day with so many things to think about.

Dreaming during sleep is very common and normal.. It happens to everybody, it just that we dun remember all our dreams when we wake up.. It's said that while we are sleeping, our spirit will leave our body wandering around and that's where we get our dreamz.. So when our spirit returns to our body, it's time for us to wake up too..
BUt for me, so far i've never had the same dreams more than once.. hehe

I guess that you wander around different places when you sleep? hehe. Recurring dreams are a real pain and I never liked them when they happen to me. It's as if my own mind is trying to tell me something and I am not listening to it.

Dreams have a quality of being hard to catch. I tried keeping a journal once but it never progressed and I decided to just let it be.

They say we have dreams every night, sometimes we just don't remember them. I usually have dreams and I usually do remember them. My dreams are always goofy and make pretty much no sense. I mean there are different aspects in each one that relate to something going on in my life, but the way all these pieces fit togethter is just stupid. Anyway, they are fun to watch and sometimes you just hate waking up, because they are so good. As far as nightmares are concerned, for me I usually know it is just a dream in my sleep, so I enjoy just watching the show. The worst part is when you have so much on your mind, you just keep replaying it and you can't get any sleep.

Dreams are fun and as you put it, goofy. I remember very improbable situations happening in my dreams when I know they are just well, goofy but when I'm dreaming them they sound all right and logical.

I never had them. but i would advise you to sleep early and also drink some milk. I heard that milk contains stuff that makes the body feels sleep and relaxed.
you have my best wishes.

I don't dream so much anymore. What I mean is I suppose I dream my usual quota of dreams but I never get bothered by nightmares anymore and I rarely have dreams where I remember them (the dreams).

I think i dream all the time when i sleeping, especially when i have gone through a quite busy time which need me to think a lot (normally weekdays -- working days). I can remember that once i close my eye, the login screen of the system i use appeared in front of me. Sometimes, the issue which reported by user prompt out in my dream and i feel that my brain still not stop thinking about the solution to resolve them. I did have nightmares few times where i dream of there is a war where i need to run away with my family and friends, hehe~

There are reports of problems being solved by dreams as when the dna sequence of the double helix was solved by a dream of a snake biting its own tail. Dreams are a wonderful lot even when they sometimes terrify us.

yup i did. they say that dreams have symbols. and if you have a dream dictionary you might check on the things you might remember in your dreams. if dreams are recurring, i think it can be a warning or message or probably some underlying mental or emotional problems that you may have that you can't expressed whenever you're awake. whenever you dream, it's better to have a dream journal to put the things you may have noticed in your dream = )

I think you're right. I did have some dreams which might have been significant but I am one of those who are skeptical about meanings since I could not understand how these meanings are arrived at in the first place. (Talking about dream dictionary) Maybe I should read up some more in order to better understand them. I am more practical in nature and when having nightmares, I just want them to go away.

i hope you'll be alright soon. sometimes, reflecting or meditating can help you fight your nightmares. just like what i have said, they might just be repressed emotions or probably memories you may had in the past, most probably negative emotions or memories, manifesting in your dreams. in meditating, you might be able to focus yourself and hopefully determine what was it that is bothering you. = )

That is a bummer. In some Malaysian villages, they teach their young kids to confront their fears by dreaming about the fearful thing and confronting the fear with confidence. For instance, an intense fear of tigers might encourage the boy to dream of tigers and in that dream to touch and pet the tiger.

i get dreams almost every day. Usually i dont remember the dreams. Last night i had a very bad dream, a very strangely dressed dark person came to catch me. It was very horrible dream and i could not sleep till morning, i used to see that person's face whenever i tried closing my eyes to sleep.

I had a similar dream long ago where an evil witch or a banshee would catch me and I could not move. It happened that I learned yoga meditation and there was a mantra given to me. When I had the dream again, I chased the witch/banshee and caught it and screamed my mantra at her. She never came back again.

We all have dreams when we are asleep, just most of were forgotten when we wake up.I have some totally absurd dreams when I was asleep, sometimes is really terrifying. But I don't pay much attention on that. It's natural ,there is no need to freak out,you will get rid of naturally. If you take that serious,it's no good to yourself.

Some dreams might be simple but some might be important enough. I know of some people who think that dreams are portents of some future event. I do not have that capability and my dreams are often forgotten except those I do remember when I wake up. The problem is I don't know what they mean.

That's very lucky of you to have a guardian angel in the guise of your bf to keep the nightmare from continuing. I have lost my nightmare and I have no desire to have them any more. lol!

Hi underdogtoo! They say that when we sleep we always dream of something. But honestly I really don't remember that I dream of anything when I wake up. Perhaps I dream, but I never remember anything. However, when when I was just a kid, I remembered that I dream of being chased by a witch or I sometimes I almost fell from my bed. I woke up realizing everything was just a dream. Thank God I'm safe!
