Internet dating sites

I think online dating is good and that it can work. I don't know about long distance ones. But I too have heard horror stories about online dating. People trying to take advantage of people. But you will get that in real life as well. With online and in person you have to be able to read people. It is just a bit harder online...I've actually met a guy online. I only chatted with him online once then we met. Only 2 miles away from him. Since then we've been chatting more online and hanging out and getting to know eachother. It's still early on, just 1 month. But without the internet I am sure I never would have met him. Even though he is so close to me. If you find a person who is actually sincere, and is honest and open with their intentions there is nothing really bad about it. So online dating has good and bad points. Just the same as any other form of dating. Don't suggest long distance like in another country though. But I have heard that it had worked with some.

Whoever introduced it must have been a genius! its a great medium for interacting! I also found a wonderful friend through the net and we are having a fantastic time together. I believe people should consider venturing into internet dating. There are crooks who try to scam people and others who are not real, but you can sure find a wonderful person online!!

Like anything else in society, there is good and bad so I 'don't tar everything with the same brush' as the saying goes. I'm so happy for you! One tends to hear horror stories so it is so nice to hear of your good news. If internet dating works then go for it.

i think i am not very much open to the idea. it can be bad. but not always. i think many have got real relationships through these sites. congrats for being lucky.

Every one person has their own opinion about it. Everyone has their own outcome of the dating sites. Every body is unique, and yes there are many people who do not agree with it because they have heard so many different bad things about it, but you can't learn if you don't get back on the horse. You can meet the most wonderful person anywhere on the internet. It doesn't have to be on any site that pays you to "match"... and i'm not saying that those sites don't match people legitimately and effectively. Don't just keep your eyes on those sites though, I mean, you can even meet people here on this site if you so wish. I have met the most wonderful man, the love of my life, the sexiest most kind sweet adoring man that I am happy to be engaged to, and I met him on myspace. Ofcourse he was a friend of a mutual friend, but he was still a stranger. I love him.
