Summer holidays here in China, which will last about 2 months when i was student. I will not have this holiday any more, but i miss it. There will be assignments for this 2-month holiday, very much indeed. When i was in primary school, i'd finish all these in one day, and then enjoyed the rest of the holiday. When the new semester began, i even couldn't remember anything. When i grew up, let's say in university, i'd watch TV programmes during this time, lots of interesting ones. Nothing to worry about, nothing to strive for, just rest, and if i couldn't bear the vacuity, i could travel or meet friends. The only thing is it's hot in Summer. The sunshine might burn our skin, but it still won't affect my passion for the holiday. Missing~~~

For me, i do not have the summer break like you, but i have semester break for about 3 weeks. I can recall that when the semester break start, i will pack all the notes of previous semester, just to empty my cabinet for keeping the new notes. Normally, i just spend most of the time my family when there is any semester break.

This is my favorite question, without a doubt, it is Christmas.. I do love the old fashioned Christmas also.. I don't like to focus on the gift aspect of this holiday, although I don't turn any of them down, but on the holiday and the reason for the holiday.. This is a wondrous time of the year as long as it is celebrated for the right reasons.. I do like to remember that it is celebrated for the birth of Jesus Christ and all of the other fun stuff comes as extras.. I am sure there are many people who do not like Christmas for a variety of reasons, my mother-in-daw didn't.. She always seemed to get sick on Christmas and more so as she got older, she also lost her mother and one of her sisters just before Christmas and for these reasons she never liked the holidays..
I do love it and love to decorate for it.. I have a huge yard partially fenced in, the lights are strung on the long length of the fence and also around the roofline outlining the house.. It is so calm and looks so good after dark.. I love to put the wreaths out on my door and my gate, also holly, evergreens, lights, everywhere that I can find to put them.. If I could, I would have Christmas everyday of the year, I do try to live that way in my heart and I would honestly have a tree up all year if I had the room and people wouldn't think that I was crazy.. I am a yard sale junkie and everytime that hubby and I pull up to one and he sees something pertaining to Christmas, his first words are, "Donna, if you get that, I am gonna kill you", usually I am walking back to the car with yet another wreath to add to my collection.. I do love all of the cooking, the family, the Christmas shows on TV, the festivities around town and everything that pertains to Christmas.. Well, can you tell which one is my favorite..

Hi DonnaLawson, thanks for giving such a long respond. Wow, from the way you write the message, i really can feel that how much you like this holiday. Thanks for sharing. Although i'm not a Christian, but i also quite enjoy the hoilday too. My country here normally will have some countdown party on 24/12, then we can see fireworks show also.

I love so many holidays, every one is a chance to spend more time with the family, and have a good get together talking about old times. My favourite is probably christmas or hallowehe when. Christmas because it's so festive and all the family gets together and has a really good time. And halloween because i love the dressing up :)

Hi lilkitty, Christmas is really a very good holiday for family to have gathering. For adults, they will gather and talk about their recent news or just purely sit there and greet each other or to concern each other. Really is a good time to improve the relationship especially there are some members who already move out from the house. For kids, they must be thinking about when Santa Clause coming to send them the gift. I believe they also excited when setting up the Christmas tree.

i would like to go on holiday in the month of October. In my country this is the start of winter and end of rainy season. It will be a great time to visit to any water falls and any hill stations. It will be a wonderful time to see the greenery all around.

Waterfall, i try to recall, i think i have been long time did not go any waterfall already. It is really enjoyable to 'play' at waterfall. I tried before, before examination, i used to go waterfall for rest after have been doing revision for long hours. That is a great place to relax, just imagine how cooling the wind there, how fresh the air there and how relaxing whe you listen to water sound.
