deleting inactive friends list

i am aware of the fact that not all of the members are active for a year or so. don't you have the urge to delete them or have you deleted them already? i would like to retain some friends here in mylot who are active respondents and who are posting discussions. i feel like a have a clutter in my space.

I have deleted some of mine that were inactive awhile. I had been gone from here a while myself and when I came back I noticed alot of people hadn't been on here in several months. I would say go ahead and delete them and you can add them back if they return.

They probably would if they are still active. I didn't think anyone missed me, tigerdragon, lol. Thanks for noticing. I had some family problems that was taking up alot of my time and was unable to concentrate. Things seem better now.

I've got only around 100 frenz or so, if i take out those inactive ones, i will be left with around 30+ only.. LOL =D But i think they wun be inactive for too long, the max time i will delete them from my list will be 3 months, i guess.. hehe

it is better to go with quality than quantity. what is the use of having them if they are not contributors. we all do not know if they are still with mylot or not. yeah, it looks good on our profile but it would help if most of them are at least active in some ways.

My list just hit 200 this day, I do check it once in a while and see whom gets an ax from me. I haven't decided yet, but I get to do this whenever I have time and feel like doing so. There are some who are still inactive, but I didn't delete them because some of them are memorable to me. Especially those who are on the first page of my list, they were the one's who helped me here when I was still new..

but if they are not around no more then what is the use. specially those people who have not really posted anything after several posts.

There's still a lot of room in my list, if in-case I want to add someone.. But I would prefer to maintain that 200 friends, I'd like to keep it that way so I could easily check who's "hot" and who's "not!"

Me, i don't bother to delete them I am giving them a time to respond on my discussions. But when it comes to space your idea is right.

it is so hard to see who are the friends that are active or not. you have been here for quite sometime now, even longer than me and i could imagine how many friends you've got. well, i am still contemplating.thanks for the visit old friend.

I have got quite a lot of friends on my list, but I know that out of all the friends that I have, only a small percentage are actually really active, some are just doing nothing at all. So I have been thinking to myself just lately that I really need to go through it and just clear it up a bit, as there is no point in having friends on if they are not even coming on here much!!

i don't understand why they are here if some of them are just lurkers, just reading everything and not participating since this is a get paid site then why don't they at least respond some.anyway, to each his own. thanks.

I will go thru ever so often and delete some inactive friends. But I will keep some of them in hopes that they may come back.

I too have a lot of inactive friends. However, I still haven't got the compulsion to delete friends. Maybe never. As long as I am not bothered with it, then I guess I would never go around deleting them.

I don't want to delete any friends from my list. Even if they are not active, but I don't mind they are still in my list. Perhaps one day they will be active in Mylot again, who knows? I love China

I am guilty! I was one from MyLot for almost six months and I'm afraid that some of my friends deleted me. I guess they thought that I was gone for good. It's so hard to tell. I have made many new friends since returning and glad that I came back. Sometimes I don't know who to cut. But I figure if a person is inactive for awhile then I will respond to their discussion and if they return then that means they are still a friend!

Hello tigerdragon, I never deleted anyone here before. I know some of them are not active but there are too many reasons for them not being active here. As for example, I was absent from the scene for almost three months due to my hectic work schedules. When I came back here, I just hope that my friends still remember who I am and won't delete me. I prefer to respond instead of starting a discussion, and sometimes I do feel afraid that friends who never get an email notification from me will think that I am inactive. As I have a limited time here, I don't spend too much on checking the activities of other members. I just respond as many as I could. That is the reason why I always digging out old discussions.

Hi, I agree with you. They are nothing more than clutters in our lotters. Not only that what about those referrals that we brought to mylot who are still at (0) !! Delete and let them weep
• Philippines

well, with my referrals , i give them the bwnefit of the doubt.maybe they just signed up to see if it is for them and just to let us know that they did sign since they are our friends.or maybe, some inactive friends just felt that mylot is not their thing and it is too much work, which i agree. well, it takes time for one to get use to it.ciao!

Dont delete them, however if there are hundreds of them you can delete some. I dont have so much friends on record as all mylotters are my friends. But I dont deny anyone who wants to make friends with me. Maybe others are just so busy thats why they cannot go on mylotting.

I go through my list maybe once every six months or so and delete people. There are some that I keep on there in the hope that they come back and occasionally they do! I suppose it doesn't really do any harm leaving inactive members there mind you but it just makes my friends list look neater lol!

I do have the urge to delete inactive friends, and that is what I actually do. I don't have a precise time limit to delete inactive friends, I do it every now and then...

I was gonna do that but I changed my mind. On the first few pages of my friends' list there are many who are already inactive for at least half a year. Well, I better just keep them for a while and then check it next year. If they are still inactive I hope myLot will just delete them after two years of inactivity so I won't have to do it myself.
