Were you ever the new kid at school (due to moving or some other reason). How easy was it for you to make new friends?

I was never the new kid except when I first started Kindergarten, but I was one of the ones always welcoming the new kids in school. Trying to make them feel comfortable as much as I can.

I met my best friend because I was a new kid at school, it was my first day, I had moved and knew no one. The teacher assigned her to show me around campus. We were 12 years old and stayed best friends for 33 years.

It's great to hear a school would do something like that. When I switched schools (in the 5th grade), I was pretty much left to fend for myself.

Yes, I had to start a new school once and I hated it.The first day I had to go I cried all day and they didn't make me go to any classes and when they asked what was wrong I said "I miss my mom" and they said well, where is your mom and I said "at home" lol so funny now. I did make friends very easily though.
