You want to find out where your phone was manufactured? Then check this out...
Press the following on your mobile: *#06#
What you will see is the international mobile equipment identity (IMEI) number. It consists of 15 digits.
Check the 7th and 8th numbers:
DIGIT: 1st 2nd 3rd 4th 5th 6th 7th 8th 9th 10th 11th 12th 13th 14th 15th
PHONE SERIAL NO: X X X X X X ? ? X X X X X X X
If the Seventh & Eighth digits are 02 or 20, this means your cell phone was manufactured in Emirates -- which is VERY BAD QUALITY
If the Seventh & Eighth digits are 08 or 80, this means your cell phone was manufactured in Germany -- which is FAIR QUALITY
If the Seventh & Eighth digits are 01 or 10, this means your cell phones was manufactured in Finland -- which is VERY GOOD QUALITY (usually for older Nokia Phones)
If the Seventh & Eighth digits are 00, this means your cell phone was manufactured in original factory -- which is the BEST MOBILE QUALITY (usually for other types of phones other than Nokia)
If the Seventh & Eighth digits are 13, this means your cell phone was assembled in Azerbaijan -- which is VERY BAD QUALITY
----------
So where does your phone come from? I'm using Nokia and my 7th and 8th digits are 10.

I don't agree with this. Have read same other sites, but why I disagree is that my Nokia N95 gave 02 but inside is written made in Finland, and another Nokia 3410 written Made in Germany gave 20 and a Nokia 3310 written Nokia Corporation gave 20 as well. All the three phone has the 7th & 8th digits as either 02 or 20 but where not written made in Emirate. So does this mean that Nokia can tell us lies of where the phones are manufactured? No!
