Do you have diaries or journals?

Hi everyone!
I am 23 years old and for the past 6 years I have been writing to my diary. I have a total of 11 diaries all filled up already. Well, it's not really like I write to it everyday. I would sometimes forget to write an entry for a day or two but still I update my diary at least 3 times a week.
I keep my diary in a very secret place in my room and I had it padlocked. It's because all my secrets are there, my experiences, my day to day activities, my feelings, almost everything! A friend of mine used to tell me that I have the story of my life written on it and it could be used in the future for a story line or something. But I told her, i hope it will not happen because what I wrote in my diary are things that only me should know.
How about you? Do you have a diary or a journal? How often do you write in it?
Please share your thoughts! Thank you friends!

I have when I was in high school, college and first 2 years when I was already working! I updated those every day mostly night time when I can include all the happenings in the day! When I got married, I decided to burn it since I know I will not need it anymore plus I am no longer interested with all those stuff I have it there! LOL,It's all my personal feelings there so for me, I made the right decision! happy posting!

Really? Wow! I have been wanting to have a yearly journal but I am only good at starting it. I have started several journals or diaries but they never got filled.
Interesting, I was actually thinking about this on my way back home today. I was counting how many journals/diaries I have started but never finishes. I guess I'll have to give up on it.
Anyway, I'm glad there is now blogs where we can write our diaries online and check it or log in to it anywhere we go around the globe provided there is a computer and internet connection.

Hi Jemina!
Well, my sister is just like you. She would always start a new diary every New Year but never get to write on it for long.
I have my blog online, too. I would put up some pictures of the days event or the like. I love online diaries and blogs because you can upload pictures.
Thank you for responding!

I used to have diaries when I was younger. But I am not that secretive so I don't care if other people was reading it. Now, I have blogging which I consider as my journal entry of all the things that are happening to me. It's published so the whole world knows what is going on in my life. I am an open book so to speak.

Wow! That is great! I do have diaries when I was in highschool but when I started going to college, I don't have time to write an entry to my diaries.
It is really cool that you still manage to keep writing in your diary. Goodluck!

yeah i used to have a diary, i would by a notebook and start writing in it but after a week or so i would forget or wont have any more time to write in it. but sometimes when i fix the room and see those journals and read them, its just nice to think back to the past but there are also some experiences that i dont want to look back. and yeah you're right, once you start writing in your journal, you have to be extra careful :)

Hello cjpaches!
Having a diary is also a risk, especially if you have written something very important that nobody has to know. But I am taking extra care with keeping my diary. I believe that in our house nobody would have the guts to take it and read it without my permission.
Thanks!
Happy Posting!

Writing in a diary or journal is good but sometimes it can be troublesome when someone 'accidentally' read whatever you have written in it. I have a diary once. I wrote about my daily activities. But I always have this worries that someday my diary might be read by someone. So, I decided to stop diary writing. A diary if fell into the wrong hand can sometimes make one in trouble.

Hi Ellie26!
Thank you for responding!
Well, i pretty much agree with you. If someone reads your diary, it's like giving somebody a taste of your private life. It should not be read by others especially if they don't have your permission.
I am still thinking what to do with my diary entries. It's been one of my priceless possessions, I dont think I could ever get rid of it!

I used to have some diaries, but I can not stick to it. I always wrote maybe 30 or so pages and stop because I just wrote down something when I am sad. And later, I forgot about the book.
Lately, I brought a new diaries book. I want to start writing diaries again. Hopefully, I can continue writing and will not leave the book in a corner.

I tried really hard to have a diary, but when I actually did get one started my plans were thwarted by my big sister who decided to steal it and rank on my choice of a crush. So, diaries never worked out for me, but I do write a lot of stories.
