Yes the first time i had just bought a car and the gas gauage said i had 3/4 of a tank,of course i was in the middle of nowhere and had to call a tow truck ,it took the machanic 2 days to figure out what was wrong with it. The second time my husband drove my van and when i went to go to town the next morning i cranked it up it said sputter sputter and that was it. When i called my husband and told him. his response was "i told you last night that you needed to pu gas in it" I am still waiting for him to explain how to get put gas in it if you can't get it out of the drive.

Yes I have. I once ran out of gas while pulling up to the pump at a gas station before. Talk about cutting it close.

Couldn't cut it much closer than that.

I have been a passenger in car that has run out of gas. Let me tell you it was no fun. We had to get out on a hot sticky summer night and hoof it. By the time we made it back to the car, it had started raining. I mean yuck. It didn't make it cooler, just humid. Not an experience I ever want to repeat.

Twice that I can recall. The first time I was 16 and didn't have the sense of a grape. Another time the gas gage stopped working and my son and I was stuck a good many miles from the house. Funny how panicky it can make you feel, at least it did me.
